C&Z Turns Seven!

Heart stencil

Today marks the seventh anniversary of Chocolate & Zucchini, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, dear readers, for being here.

The past seven years have been, without a doubt, the fullest and the most exciting of my life, and it is in large part thanks to this blog and to you.

I feel lucky to have such an enthusiastic, curious, kind, positive, funny, helpful, thoughtful, articulate, inspiring and well-informed crowd gathered here, and it is an honor and a joy to converse with you.

To celebrate this anniversary, I want to invite you to get together in Paris, and my proposition is twofold:

On Saturday, October 16, you can join me at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France from 11am till noon, for a discussion on food blogs (in French) as part of a series of talks called Les Samedis du Savoir. (The event is free and open to the public.)

And on Sunday, October 17, please come and have a drink with us at Café Charbon; we'll be there from 7pm (109 rue Oberkampf in the 11th, see map).

I hope you can make it to one or both of these occasions, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

(Note: neither of these is a booksigning event per se, but if you own one of my books, feel free to bring it along; it will be my pleasure to sign it.)

Never miss a recipe!

Congratulations on seven wonderful years... Yours was one of the first blogs I started reading. I recently moved from Sydney to London and leaving your books behind in a box was a particularly sad moment. Perhaps a jaunt on the eurostar calls :)

Congratulations Clotilde. You were the first food blog I read after reading an article in an Australian newspaper. Being inspired to begin my own blog followed soon after. Thank you. You actually changed my life. I can't imagine how I would have coped with my cancer without the diversion of blogging. And also the support of such wonderful friends I made through the forums.

I love you have used a heart for your photo, as this week my 2010 LiveSTRONG event is all about hearts.

Bon Anniversaire Chocolat et Courgette!

I recommend the site to everyone who wants a recipe for something. I always find it useful and entertaining. I love your writing and I'm still waiting for your first novel/collection of short stories...a story based on a recipe?

Wish I could be there... wish I could be in Paris just generally. But I am skint yet again... sigh! So would you, purely out of the goodness of your heart have a drink or two for me?! :)

Clotilde, sincerest congratulations and many thanks for your dedication to this blog over the past seven years. I've visited this happy little (ah, not so little anymore!) home of yours since the early days, and as I've skipped down the path, so have you soared. It has been the greatest pleasure to see you enjoy such well-deserved success!

A toast to you, to your singular recipes and warm voice, and to another seven, eight, nine years of blog posts at the very least! ;)

Hi Clotilde. I've enjoyed your blog ever since I discovered the addictive world of food blog and although I don't comment often, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you how much I adore your edible idioms posts. I'm a wannabe French speaker and there is nothing more exciting than to see how food is so deeply ingrained in the French language.

How I wish I could attend your events! If you're ever in Bombay, do let me know. I'd love to show you around. :)
