Food Blogger Pro: Why I Joined and You Should Too

If you’re a Chocolate & Zucchini reader, there’s actually a high chance that you have a blog of your own, or are thinking about starting one.

  • Thanks for this enlightening article, Clotilde! I’ve been meaning to look into FBP since you mentioned their podcast – which I haven’t listened to yet. I’d love to take my food blog up a notch – or several! I often get frustrated with all the technicalities involved in running a blog. I wish I could just write, write, write, but I know it’s not how it works! They seem to be doing a great job at FBP. I really appreciate the fact they publish income reports for one.

    I have a technical question about C&Z. Whenever I click on an extranet link, it doesn’t open onto a new page. I therefore lose the C&Z page I was on and get frustrated with that because I really wanted to have both pages on my screen. Am I the one having a problem with that?!

    • Thanks Anne-Liesse, I’m glad the article was of interest to you. I know what you mean about wanting to devote your energy to the core activities and not worry about the rest! I do enjoy the social media aspects to the extent that it creates wonderful interactions with readers and other bloggers, but even for those things to happen and for them not to take up your entire day, you have to “do it right”.

      For outbound links to open in a new tab, all you need to do is press the “Command” key on your keyboard as you click a link. If you want it to open in a new window, press the “Shift” key on your keyboard. This is the norm across all platforms and browsers.
