I saw a message board post in eGullet that referred to something published in Le Figaro about Nicolas Vagnon's departure from the 17th arrondissement. We were hoping to go to La Table de Lucullus in March when we're next in Paris to enjoy again some of his marvelous fish dishes.
Does anyone know if he's opening another restaurant in Paris? Or moving La Table de Lucullus to a new location? |

Hello Jo!
Nicolas will open a new restaurant in L'Ile d'Yeu, and island off the Atlantic coast. Last I heard, he was going to make the transition in the spring, so maybe he will still be operating the Paris restaurant in March...
Best,
Clotilde. |

Clotilde,
Thanks so much for the update! Opening a new restaurant in l'Ile d'Yeu should be a wonderful new venture for Nicolas. With such immediate access to fresh fish, he'll be in his element.
I'll keep fingers crossed that maybe we'll be able to join him at La Table de Lucullus before his departure. While it's not outside the realm of possibility that we might get to l"Ile d'Yeu at some point, Paris is a more usual destination for us.
Bonne année and thanks for the speedy reply,
Jo |
