my 7th bluesfest..and yet again another 5 days of wonder...

my pick of those seen...David Gray, The Backsliders, Hothouse Flowers, Daniel Lanois, 'n Xavier Rudd.

it rained the rain of Noah on Saturday night...camping and mud...such a Byron Bay annual experience

Bob Geldof played...said it was a collection of artists he'd been waiting for years to see...

always at Easter..if anyone is travelling to Oz at that time...go for it!

the main tent holds thousands...and guess who still has the staying power to remain in that one place for 7 hours the first night, and 8 the next! Age? Ah, what's age????

eyelids as tired as possible.

Judy Darlin', those first few days back are weird...like coming back from the moon I'd imagine..well, a bit like it anyway 5 days of music...from noon to midnight ...spoilt for choice..

we missed Corb Lund sometimes super duper gems appear once..and if you miss them you miss them..however my sister, Rocker Marz, bought his cd. "Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer" .and we laughed and sang in the car driving home...talk about a funny soul...highly recommended...5 star amazon rating from this reviewer...how I agree...

this also: This is Corb Lund's fourth CD and was produced by Harry Stinson (Dead Reckoners, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett) and recorded at Treasure Isle Recorders in Nashville. It runs the gamut of roots music forms and flavours, from western swing to Waylon-esque country rock to ragtime to acoustic blues. The lyrical content of his new work continues to reflect Lund's unique life experience, blending a Western upbringing with a decade on the indie rock scene. The album includes guest vocal performances by Western icon Ian Tyson and living folk legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
