I am a sucker for these things, but normally I do them and then they say, 'for 100 dollars you can see your results!'
I was half expecting this, but no; in true BBC style my self came up explained: existential thinker. Now I wait to see if I am offered a job!!
I am a writer/publisher/artist and am very happy, thank you. So there is no desire for changing professions for me.

And just to be completely different, I would seem to be a "Logical-Mathematical Thinker".
Supposedly in the same realm as Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci.

Never would have guessed. I'm apparently a Spatial Thinker.
Like Picasso, Michelangelo, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.. interesting.

Very interesting.
I am an interpersonal thinker.

It said I was a Linguistic Thinker, like Leonardo and Shakespeare. And being a journalist was a career option. Which is very odd, since I'm in the medical field, which I like a lot, but my college English teacher said I was a talented writer. Who knew?!

I'm interpersonel too...and the career-suggestions?
"Politician, Psychologist, Nurse, Counsellor, Teacher"
Politician? No way.
Psychologist and counsellor? Well-I work in the airport....ever watch those shows on TV?! So that's kind-a true.
Nurse? I'm really good if someone really needs me.
Teacher? Some people say I must become a kindergarden-teacher - but I am a trainer/"teacher"in my own line of work as well and like that a lot..
Not so far off then!
I think, like horoscopes, you can always find something there to interpred your way...
Fun nebvertheless! |

The quizzes on the BBC site are fun and there is some substance to them, though I balked at the implications of some of the questions (I would not leap at the chance to read a book on philosophy, but that's not because I don't have an interest in critical analysis, major questions or the kinds of theoretical issues addressed in other disciplines or literary forms). The one on Personality types provides similar assessments.
What I would like to know is who gave the quiz to Leonardo, Winston Churchill and Freud and how the wording in translated versions compares to the quiz we took on line.

I am a Linguistic and Mathematical/Logical thinker. I think the combination describes me fairly well, and I manage to use qualities from both in my everyday life and career.
I love this kind of thing. Recently I've gone through several different evaluations (most a bit more detailed than this one). Tickle tests on-line will do IQ's and some other tests, and you can get the results without purchasing anything (although they do try to get you to sign up for stuff). _________________ Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon. - The Dalai Lama |

Deste,
It is fun to find a quiz that isn't to decide if you're a 'winter' or a 'summer' isn't it.
Thank you BBC for providing substance in oh so many different ways. _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Erin - the quiz is fun and seems to be popular with the people I forwarded it to. Thanks for bringing it up!
As for accurate, well, my psychologist friend was correctly identified as an interpersonal thinker, but another friend was told that she should work with animals. I should note that she strongly believes that animals only belong on National Geographic.

They never really are all that accurate, but can give you something to think about. Cosmopolitian didn't get me right either, I am clearly a winter! hahaha!
P.S. I don't actually read Cosmo. _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Maybe it was all those magazines my mother used to get that got me hooked on these sorts of quizzes. I also had friends in grad school who were getting their degrees in Social Work & Organizational Behavior in business school, so I did the Meyer-Briggs test too.
So, I tried to do the BBC quiz to determine the gender of my brain. Unfortunately, for some reason, the system halted at the end of Step 5 of 6 and lost my scores , though I was looking like a real girl there in some of my responses.
The only thing that had me quite intrigued was a step that asked you to measure four of your fingers. (For real, folks.) If their scientific sources are correct, I have a lot of testosterone for a woman. |

I love these things. Ever since my aptitute tests in highschool advised me that I should be a religious leader or film director (!) I've gotten a kick out of them.
According to this one, I am 3 types of thinker: Linguistic, Musical, & Existential. I suppose that's why I can hardly decide what to do when I grow up, even though I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore...
Hmph. Hey, Existential includes "religious leader" in its career path! I think that's the first time since highschool that I've gotten that. |

Dawna,
My mom is pretty close to sixty and is trying her hardest to become an artist. I got existential also, I think I'd make a poor religious leader seeing as how I'm an athiest and all. Not very existential I guess. _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."
