| In May, I will be travelling to Poitiers to do some ancestral research. I would like to stay in a hotel right in Poitiers (so that I can walk to everything) -- or rent a nice gite somewhere in the Vienne region that is particularly scenic and charming. The gite is more appealing as I would like to be able to buy fresh food at a market and cook for myself. Any suggestions on where to stay? |

| Yes, I mean May 2007. It seems early to be asking for advice, but I am going to use Aeroplan points for the flight. The idea is to spend a week in Paris; a week doing ancestral research in and around Poitiers and a little town of Vendeuvre-du-Poitou, which is slightly north of Futurscope; and then a final week in the Midi-Pyrenees visiting friends. |
