To all Australians and New Zealanders wherever you are in the world, Happy Anzac Day.
We went to the Dawn Service at the city War Memorial and stayed to have breakfast with ex-servicemen at the army parade grounds afterwards.
It's wonderful to see so many people at the Dawn Service. To think that in the 1970s numbers of attendees had dwindled and there was concern that Anzac Day parades might not continue.
Whatever you do today, enjoy it! _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

Yes Judy, it is a day to be remembered. As the saying goes "Lest we forget".
We just arrived back last night from a tour of Flanders and went to the Flanders Fields and to Tyne Cot Cemetary, as well as the Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres. Very moving.
Dawn Service this morning and the rest of the day spent quietly.
Next year we are going to go back to either the Somme or Flanders for the Dawn Service. Will decide closer to the date. Have been to both and they are equally atmospheric and moving places. _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine.
