I've only just heard he died this week. I can't recollect any of his films that I might have seen. He was married to Ingrid Berman wasn't he?

Mmmm, the Seventh Seal... proof that it's easier to win a game of chess against a computer than with Death.

Beautifully framed pictures with thoughtful scripts... he was a theatre man mostly and it transferred to his films I think.
