| Barbara and E, that is a fanTAStic idea!!! I searched a bit on the web, but couldn't find any information about classes. Would I just call the school itself? Thanks for any help! |

Karen and fondofelves:
I did one of the Cordon Bleu courses a couple years ago. It was titled "Cooking for Friends", and was absolutely wonderful. The chef/instructor spoke French, but he had a student that translated the entire demonstration. The day started with complimentary cofee and croissant. Then we observed the chef prepare a full dinner - including dessert. Afterwards, we all sampled the food, and had wine. You can view the course schedule, and register at www.cordonbleu.net. I highly recommend the experience - it was very fun.
Also, another great restaurant in Paris is L'Ardoise. It's located near Place Vendome, and it's one of the FEW restaurants open on Sunday for dinner. _________________ Mother is absolutely screaming for me to let you in. |

Just returned from Paris 4 hours ago and before jet lag totally does me in...I cannot wait to go back to Paris! My husband and I had a great 4 day weekend despite rain, sleet and a few minutes of snow...we thought we left that in Boston! There is no bad food, no bad wine, no bad cheese, no bad bread, no bad shopping. We have only begun to scratch the surface!

Great to hear Tea Leaves! It is a magnificent place, truly my favourite city and worth revisiting time and again. When you catch up on your sleep take some time and please fill us in with some details. _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

David, thanks for asking! Do you know I'm STILL not done writing it up!!! My mom took sick and is in rehab in a nursing home, so I'm distracted by that right now.
I will say quickly that I had a GREAT time, it snowed often (we left the day before the big snow on 2/23, which shut down the airport), I brought home a few jars of Christine Ferber jams, had some awesome meals, visited the Louvre and the Rodin (and the Bon Marche & the Gallerie Lafayette) and took many pictures. If you'd be interested in seeing the pictures, you can look here: http://www.fondofelves.com/paris05/ and here: http://www.fondofelves.com/megscamera/ |

Good morning!
Thank you so much for sharing your trip pics! Nice to know there is also someone else out there who photographs signs.... and meals and birds and flowers. I hardly ever take pics of people, unless they are small children or furpeople (animals), so I really enjoyed your travel photologia.
Look forward to more pics from your future trips! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |
