I feel a little ridiculous, but I can't remember the plural form of 'eau de vie' and something tells me someone here may know. Can someone help me, please?
Thanks!!! _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

I have those moments..... I put it down to having too much info in a small space...
The plural is
eaux de vie
Hope this helps _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |

Just thought I'd add, for anyone who might not know, that eau-de-vie (it is written with hyphens in French) means, literally, water-of-life. So the plural is waters-of-life, not waters-of-lives.
And then the plural of eau (water) is an irregular form: like many words that end with "eau", it takes an "x" rather than an "s" -- hence, eaux-de-vie.
