Hey, Harpo,
I'm glad the peat pots have worked out for you. Most gardeners, me included, abhor them.
The problem is that most plants can't seem to bust through them, and become root bound.
A better way is to make your own newspaper pots. They work much better, are easy to construct, and you recycle materials that would otherwise go into landfills. A definate win-win situation.
There are instructions for making them all over the net. But if you prefer, I can post them here.

lemongrass the latest addition to our herbs ~ recently I was in Thailand and each morning a pot of lemongrass tea would be brought to our table. Delicious and refreshing start to the day.
We were told the lemongrass was bruised before the water was added.
Green papaya salad...oh my...'n my sister in law, Rosemarie, is a chili fan so much red was seen in her salads!
happy herbing (that's from the very 'to herb') _________________ "I've never accepted the external appearance of things as the whole truth. The world is much more elaborate than the nerves of our eye can tell us." - James Gleeson
