I wouldn't complain David... but at five 10 and a bit (that 'bit' is crucial!) I am tall but not supermodel looking alas. So I am often surrounded by shorter and beautiful creatures!
Still, so long as they are gorgeous and adore you, what's not to like, eh?! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

Hi Deb!
Looks like plans are shaping up, I will PM you next weekend as I'm on my way to Edinburgh now, but it looks like dinner on sept 29 or 30, or lunch on sep 30 or oct 1st, or drinks or tea or coffee or chocolates any time on those days would be lovely if it fits your plans!
(I will arrive in Paris on the 29th in the afternoon, wil fly to HK oct 1st late at night. 2 full days in Paris!! Foodshopping!!! YEY!!! I am working on my list )
No hotel yet - have been too busy but I'll let you know!
Hope we can meet and otherwise...ah, there's always Sydney
And David - if your admirers are even half as gorgeous as you are... ..roses still coming? Ah...romance....Enjoy!! _________________ http://swans-place.blogspot.com

Sounds great. Can't wait!
PM me and I will reply with some hotel listings in the quartier if you like.
We can go food shopping and do lunch, dinner or whatever.
I will be handing my last uni assignment in on 29th, so will be in the mood for a glass of bubbly stuff and a good meal with great company, ready to build up for my exams in oct......
I am away this weekend and next weekend (tutorials in England) but get back late 28th. Will be here in Paris in between. Perfect timing!! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Well, I have just had the best two days a girl could ever ask for!
Swan and I conquered all and sundry in the Paris gourmet food realm.... and what fun we had doing it.
Such a delightful person and such a joy to spend time with. Pity we only had 2 days.... am sure we could have done more damage to the credit cards given half a chance.... _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. yes we did have a great great time!
Debbie ofcourse is a wonderful and fun girl to spend time with (and she knows al the busroutes ) and we did all the food highlights - we are now the proud owners of ' Pierre Herme's' rose syrup, and beautiful chocolate's from the l'etoile d'or candyshop, lots of spreadable caramel au beurre salee, golddust for pastry, tonkabeans, pistachio-oil and so on...
There was pastry, macarons, chocolates from m.Aoki, galettes, but most of all lots of laughter and fun and good company with Deb and her husband.
While she's off with her personal trainer today ( ) I'll make my way to Pierre Herme, la Grande Epicerie and then it's time to pack and fly home to HongKong.
(I am in fear of the check in with my obscene amount of luggage )
Can't think of a better way to end my tour in Europe: Debbie and Paris and goodies! (although indeed we needed/would have liked more time !) _________________ http://swans-place.blogspot.com

Swan took a photo on her camera. I think we should give a prize if anyone can name the shop we are standing in front of.....
I must confess that I had a creme brulee patisserie this morning for breakfast...... maybe we won't tell the trainer that when he arrives..... _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. I SO have no clue after a few tries how to post an image!! But for anyone who's curious: I've posted them on my blog. And if you're really curious you'll find more pics. Of our life in Hongkong, travelling, of the wedding in january, of how J. proposed...feel free to browse.
And yeah..who can guess where Debbie and I are??
My breakfast was at least as healthy as Deb's: two (2,yes!) danettes chocolat extra noir.... _________________ http://swans-place.blogspot.com

David, the 2 days went by far too quickly.
We had such a good time and seemed to be of the one mind on so many things...... even to the point where we both wore the same outfit (colours etc) on wednesday. Wayne asked if we had rung each other first thing in the morning to agree on an outfit, then said one of us had to go home and change.
Am sitting here with a spoon and a jar of my new addiction (thank you Swan!).... spreadable speculoos. I think it must be what heaven tastes like.
After my torture session I had strawberries dipped in the crushed caramel au beurre sale (au sel de Geurande) d'Isigny. Delicious! What a fabulous find that was
Oh, will not change the byline. I still believe in a food and relaxation filled life..... much to my trainers disgust! Just can only cope with smaller amounts of the food nowdays. The training I suffer through knowing it is making my leg strong and keeping me walking.... sigh. _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. Awww, girls, what a lovely photo.
And Swan, I love your blog! I can't read most of it, but the photos probably tell me almost everything. I spotted your gorgeous Le Creuset pot in your kitchen, and saw how you have transformed your HK apartment into a lovely home. It's fantastic! And you and J both look so well and happy. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

I put the blog URL on Google Translate and can now read it in English ... kind of. Some of the translations are a bit wacky, or maybe that's just the way Swan writes _________________ Doing what you like is freedom
