Turkey-Rice-Stock. Doesn't get too much more comforting than that, David.

I make a soup like that using smoked turkey. But I don't count on leftovers. Instead, I'll smoke a turkey with the soup in mind. The diced meat is combined with sauteed veggies and dark turkey stock.

Because I can this, rather than freezing it, the rice is not included. But it's no big deal to add a handful of cooked rice at serving time.

Hmmmmm. Now you've got me going. Reckon I'll open a jar for lunch!
