I have a huge request to ask of you all. I know we only know each by name by I think of you as friends. Last week I discovered my cancer has returned and I will have surgery this Wednesday morning (NZ time). Being a great believer in the power of positive thinking and prayer, and being more than a little nervous, could I ask you all to say a little prayer and send lots and lots of positive thoughts out to me on Wednesday morning (which is Tuesday evening in Europe). _________________ Barbara |

Are you sure it's necessary to wait until Tues/Wed? I'm starting now and will continue through the week. I hope by this time next week you'll feel like a moment online to tell us how you're doing. If you're not up to it, perhaps your husband will find a minute to give us an update because I know we're all going to be anxious too.
I'm so sorry to hear you have to go through this again, Barbara. But let's think of your recovery as a process that you've already been in and need to continue working on. I hope the New Year will truly be a good and healing one for you. _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

Barbara,
You have all of my positive energy heading your way. My birthday is on Wednesday, so I will give you my birthday wish to use as well.
I know things will turn out well, you and your husband will be sitting on the beach drinking vintage champagne in no time! _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Hey Girl....hopefully this surgery will as they say in the South "Git R done" and you'll be done forever with operations......I'll be sending snow covered wishes all week (yes, we actually have snow on the ground here in Virginia) for all of the inner strength I know you have for your recovery.....I know your guys will be there for you...and we, at C&Z, although spread far & wide will be too _________________ Make me half the person my dog thinks I am. |

Barbara, you beat it the first time. You can do it again. Think of it as a temporary hiccup, a speedbump in life. Keep moving forward and all will be well.
I add my wishes and thoughts and will be thinking of you till we hear good news.
As with Erin, I have not used my birthday wish from last week (wednesday), so am sending it to you also. With 2 sagitarians on your side the cancer will dare not stay around!
You are not alone while you have everyone at C&Z and your family and friends at home! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |

I just read this entry and it's now morning in NZ, probably the time you're being admitted, Barbara. I'm thinking of you & sending good thoughts & vibrations all the way to you in Auckland.
Speedy recovery. |
