With 2006 around the corner, does anyone have any resolutions for 2006 that they would like to share? Mine are earth-shatteringly simple:
1. exercise regularly
2. bring lunch to work at least twice a week
3. read the Bible daily
4. spend less, read and walk more
5. cook more with vegetables _________________ "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" --- Monty Python and the Holy Grail

I walk vigorously for 30-45 minutes every day. I eat healthily. I take good care of my family and friends. I read a lot. I go to church. I need to think about doing the following:
1. Yoga or pilates once or twice a week
2. Volunteer activity in the community - Lately I've been thinking of doing something in Adult literacy as I am a very good reading teacher at the elementary level.
My walking habit came about as a result of a new year's resolution about 12 years ago - so maybe this will take! =)

Yikes, you won't be as much fun if you lose 25 kg. As the weight goes so goes the fun.
No resolutions for me besides planning to retire. _________________ ' She says, 'I am the glamorous type.' I said, 'So what?' |

Dear Sarape, don't worry, even with 25 kg less , I'll still be "pleasanltly" ( or so I hope) plump. I should actually loose 35 Kg, but, between us, I'll be happy with 10 too. As for being fun, I don't know, but old people ( I'm 56 going on 57) don't change. I don't think I'm fun, I just don't take things too seriously, it's boring.
Do you really intend to retire? Bravo, you're brave! If you can afford it, do what you love to do, you're in your 40' so (part) of the future is still in front of you. A propos, how about my invitation to come to visit the Holy Land? A good place to begin your retirement . Can't get bored here, I promise you!
No more war, may all our wishes come true ! |

Wearing red or hot pink lipstick
not going to dye my hair
saying yes every chance I get
dancing in each full moon
smile at strangers
putting on rose colored glasses when the it seems dark.
encouraging others to be who they are! _________________ Tongue in Cheek Antiques

I question this approach. I've found life is much easier after you learn to say "no". _________________ ' She says, 'I am the glamorous type.' I said, 'So what?' |

I agree with you ...learning to say No frees you to say YES to the things you really want to do...
