Griffin--I should have given credit, the song was written by Ronnie Levine, and I heard it sung (on the radio) by "Trout Fishing in America", a duo. They do a lot of funny and kid's songs.

madame- I wrote a response to your school experience but I don't see it. Oh well, no one wants to be bored by those stories anyway, but did you ever see Heaven Help Us? It's a very funny and sweet little movie I bet you could relate to. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089264/
It's the best rendition I've ever seen of the real 50s and early 60s experience with laughs instead of the pain and humiliation. I wonder if you'd enjoy it.
