| So I've had this idea floating around in my head for a couple of years now. I've made traditional cream puffs a couple of times and they were always scarfed down by everyone. But I think they're boring and need an update. To this end I was thinking strawberry cream puffs, replacing the vanilla custard filling with a strawberry one. Then dipping them in chocolate after they've been filled. Only problem is the strawberry cream. Can I just add berry puree into the vanilla base, or do I need to tinker with the recipe some so that it's not runny? Any ideas/recipes would be much appreciated. |

I'm not a cook, but it sounds like you would have to tinker with it. The puree would make it soupier.
Can you add confectioners sugar to thicken it?? |
