Thank you MAdame.
Well, not bad at all. Minus the frustrated ( unless you mean the war over here, then yes, I'm frustrated).
What about February 1st ( my dearest other half?). If it does not bother you.
Thanks. |

oh Simona...you know me...this would never bother me!
Feb 1: The Day of Willfulness
strong-willed mentally quick grounded/stubborn overly rational self-unaware
My husband has just asked me if I'm going to start reading my star stuff in the newspapers now
not exactly his cup of tea...perhaps still confronted by the argumentative/combative things mentioned with his day! _________________ "I've never accepted the external appearance of things as the whole truth. Thanks Madame.
Well, more or less. I'm rather the grounded and over rational one.
But being over rational, I really don't believe in this stuff. It's just for fun.
I won't be a frequent poster on this thread, nothing surnatural appeals to me and I'm bored to death with all the mumbo-jumbo new age pseudo beliefs.
Thanks again, it was really fun.
No more war. That's real. |

I read today that 23% of people aged 100-104 years believe that faith contributed to their longevity.

Well, this thread doesn't contain the "ghost stories" I expected. It should have been plain to me that those stories might include real bereavment, maybe recent. I apologize if that's the case. I'm too quick to look for jokes in a subject.
I do hope that everyone who donated birthdates will critique their own personality profiles provided by Madame Shawshank --nothing more fascinating than discussing/explaining your own self? At length!
David the Diplomat (concrete evidence of that in these pages!) defended so strongly by Rainey. At first I thought "Ah, but we only know the character a poster wishes to disclose, not the real person." But the personalities here (the only forum I know) are so consistent--the egos leak right through, I'm sure!
I'm delighted to hear that young people are rejecting organized religion! So much of the "Christianity" here in the USA is dragging everything everybody everyhope down down down.
Simona's birthday heading "The Day of Private Goals" made me smile--her signature "No More War" is such a public goal! The rest of the description seemed accurate.
I am "The Day of Unpredictable Fate" --- yikes! Will I marry George Clooney and then get hit by a bus? Or will I get hit by a bus and come back to haunt Sarape? Unpredictable!
I AM "accepting"...of cash. Not so accepting of cockroaches!
"Tasteful" ? I do a lot of buying on eBay and my home looks like a very tacky gift shop. I'll buy anything, if you first paint a rose on it I'll pay double.

I agree with Gingerpale that personalities leak very quickly in any media of expression, writing included. Of course, I mean those who post reasonably frequent. I'm sure all of us have they likes and dislikes on the forum, even if all of us are generally quite polite and politically correct .
I can imagine a "secret" meeting of the forum veterans... I would like to overhear some of the ...well, impressions. I'm sure it could be fun. And unexpected. I had some surprises , mostly good but also bad ones, on emails and PM's. But that's what makes this forum interesting, the people.
No more war, I still think nobody hears what I'm saying. It's probably because the noise of the bombs crashing on Haifa and Beirut. |

Yes, in a physically close group of people (like an office, or club) there are little secrets and alliances and jealousies and resentments that pop up practically in every conversation. They occur on the 'net, but don't get "outed" except in PMs or emails.

Thank you Madame. A pretty accurate description of me I think. Bryan agrees. The differing stages of our lives do increase or decrease the depth and intensity of the qualities. I would say before my cancer I'd conquered the negative "repressed" reasoanbly well, although I could be accused of being "moralizing". These days there is more repression and less moralizing. Faithful, passionate, nurturing - I hope I always retain these postive qualities. _________________ Barbara |

Thanks Madam,
Spose that if i want the good I'll have to take the bad!
Sounds like a mad woman. The duality of being. Thanks for the reply.
I haven't seen a ghost but I have a convincing story. I lived in house with a vague friend and advertised for a third. My first HM had dreams about a man who had lived in the same house and murdered his girlfriend in the bathroom- the lightbulb in there was always blowing.
To cut it short. My HM had full description and dates and we decided not to tell our new HM who soon after moving in was woken in bed being pulled down it by a man bearing the exact description from HM 1's dream. The next week he moved out. _________________ truth, like gold, is not the less so for being newly brought out of the mine. |
