Clotilde... are the small pasta dots you described in your zucchini dish (I now have to call them courgettes in the UK!) the same as what we in the States call orzo? I find that hard to find near London but will do a search up there one day. Thanks.

| Not Clotilde, but many small pasta shapes are more-or-less interchangeable if you watch the cooking time closely and don't let them become overcooked. The common orzo-like pasta in my neighborhood grocery is a Mexican import that translates to "melon-seed". I substitute pretty freely with satisfactory results. |

June : the pasta I used is different from orzo in that they are more like little peas than little grains of rice, but I'm sure orzo would work well here too. |

Thanks for the replies! I used to make a great orzo salad with oil, vinegar, shallots and corn. I'll try it with some other small pastas.
