Prince Charles is releasing a cookbook based on recipes from the royal household!
All the recipes in the [/i]Duchy Originals Cookbook have been approved by the Prince.
We will now have access to The Queen Mum's favourite Sodbury Cake, a date and walnut concoction and we will all be able to make Maids of Honour Tarts which Anne Boleyn used to seduce Henry VIII.
Seems Charles is an advocate of both the slow food movement and organic foods and is attempting to bring diners back in touch with the source of their food.
The book is supposed to be released next week. It is authored by Johnny Sandler and Nick Acton with a foreword by the Prince. Published by Kyle Cathie the book will retail at CAN$56.00. ISBN 1856266532 _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

Well, David, you must keep us posted on this tome! For $56 CAN, I want Bonny Prince Charlie to bring it to my house and sit down with a cuupa while I try out some recipes!
Where do the proceeds for this book go? Not the Windsor household coffers, I trust! _________________ L'appetit vient en mangeant. -Rabelais |

I don't think I'd try the Maids of Honour Tarts. I guite like my head where it is, sitting just above my shoulders. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

Ohmigod, can't imagine any one in that whole family has seen the inside of a working kitchen unless they were touring it! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |
