|
|
Hello!
I am going for the first time to Paris next week over Valentines Day.
I have been studying this board and taking notes!
like Max Beckmann I love love champagne and plan to indulge~
Do you know of any wine bars that are particularly well stocked and specialize in this fantastic libation?
I hope to learn the many facets of this exquisite treat
To newly explore how it's qualities are affected by varying combination
Thank You,

does the lack of response mean that is a silly question?
perhaps all wine bars there should have a broad selection of champagne...
if that is the case then what are your recommendations
Thank you and I reserved at Atelier Joel Robuchon for monday the 12th.
Michael anthony from Blue Hill made me this list of restaurant recommendations.
I thought you all would be interested.

L'Astrance
L'Arpege
Guy Savoy
Expensive:
Lucas Carton
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon

well, it's not a silly question, but as for me, I would rather drink champagne in the bar of a palace, for instance the Ritz or the Crillon, than in a wine bar.. |

Thank you for the tip.
I am actually looking to drink most of my champagne on Valentines <3
What are your thoughts on celebrating Valentine's Day in Paris.
(Isn't that an adorable question!)
I tried to get into Atelier Robuchon that eveing but it was totally busy.
So I think I would rather save all my energy for sweets and champagne anyway... |

There used to be a place like that in the 9th but I imagine it didn't work well because it went out of business. The Ritz however has a champagne bar (38 rue Cambon) -- expect pricy drinks!
And if you want to buy champagne to drink in your hotel room, there is a store in the marais that is specialized in bubbles: it is called Cave à Bulles at 45 rue de Quincampoix in the 4th. |
