I think Donna summed up my reaction quite well.
I'm not sure what disgusts me most: the contamination of good chocolate with gold or the fact that the dessert costs more than my car did. |

Is this not a text book case of too much money and not enough sense. _________________ Live as if to die tomorrow. Learn as if to live forever.

An absolute SIN, offending the sensibilities of all food lovers, and rational people. And lacking any respect or regard for the fact that extreme poverty exists in the world.
This makes me so angry! |

That's just plain absurd.
Like quite a few other things in this world, just because we can do something, doesn't mean we should. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

Every once in a while someone feels compelled to throw some gold on perfectly good food for the sake of cheap publicity. Remember the $1,000 milkshake a few months ago? Maybe if we ignore them they'll go away and leave us to enjoy food in peace... |

So much I'd like to say about this but why give them any more publicity for something so stupid. But if it makes just one more person think about poverty and the starving then it works in a round about way. _________________ Barbara |
