Hello friends!
SOS please for some nice restaurants in Brussels - not fancy, but good belgian fare. I know the street behind the Grand Place has many restaurants, and they all seem tourist traps in my eyes. Is there any one goo restaurant not too far from the Grande Place. I'm for just one day in Brussels and would like a good beer and some good food.
Thanks

Hi Simona, I seem to remember Clotilde doing a post about restaurants in Brussels, which I'm sure is worth a look. (You're quite right to avoid the area around the Grand-Place!)
A couple of other suggestions - L'Idiot du Village (a really good, non-touristy Franco-Belgian place off rue Haute) and a moules-frites place nearby on rue Haute (I can't for the life of me remember the name, but it's on a corner on the part of the street near the Place du Grand Sablon... sorry, I realize this isn't terribly helpful!). If you're just looking for a place with a great beer selection, L'Ultime Atome (Rue St Boniface 14, in Ixelles) is worth a try. Hope that helps! |
