Just opened a shipment of books from Random House and there perkily smiling back at me is Clotilde! Congratulations Clotilde-the book looks delightful and is just the right size for travelling---excellent reference book. Now I am only waiting for a chance to use it. And rest assured any of my customers heading to Paris will know about this marvelous offering! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

My book arrived in today's mail! It is just beautiful, Clotilde. As David said, it is the perfect size for traveling. And it is so full of information that I almost feel like I've been to Paris already.
My neighbors are traveling there next month - I'm sure they'll order their own copy as soon as they see this one.
Congratulations on another wonderful accomplishment. TWO books now! It really is amazing. I look forward to what the future may bring.
Many congratulations! |

Bwaaaahhh! I have to wait until it's published in the UK... and then I will use pointy elbows and determined glare to get a copy - so there! Buyers beware, the Griffin wants his copy and will use any means necessary (but especially those involving chocolate) to get it!... then of course the other buyers in the UK can have a copy - in fact I will actively promote it just to make sure they buy it. Er, can I use elephant traps and press gangs? I mean once they see Clotilde on the cover it won't matter, they'll snap 'em up, but before that point I shall 'persuade'.
PS
Bwahahahahaha!... ahem. Just thought I'd mention that. _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

| Griffin, you don't need to wait - just have a look at Amazon UK, there are a number of sellers offering it (most of them in the US but a couple in the UK, and even from the US the shipping's quite reasonable). |

Thanks Rachel, I didn't even look at Amazon... mainly because I would be utterly penniless if I did! But come pay day... I will be there! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

It's a fantastic book, we're really enjoying it while we're in Paris - thanks so much for the galley copy, Clotilde. It is being very well-used, and is starting to look very 'well-loved'.
I recommend it to everyone who is visiting Paris, anyone thinking of travelling to Paris and to all who love this beautiful city. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

My book arrived on the 22nd - how prompt is that? I have made by reservations for an informal bistro lunch/book signing to be held at the Mechanic's Institute Library in downtown San Francisco on May 6. I can't wait. I did enjoy Clotilde's book signing two years ago at the Ferry Building. It would be fun to see her again.
My congratulations to you, Clotilde. Not just something to read to find a place to eat - I call it definitely "Clotilde's Style". _________________ "A man hath no better thing under the sun than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry." |
