The most disgusting thing I ever personally ate was pickled plums in a friend's Asian restaurant that he was the executive chef of.
However the most vile food I've been exposed to was when I first joined the Army our first generation of packaged Meals Ready to Eat (MRE's) that can stay packaged for seven years and served at room temperature were truly disgusting.
The two that stick in my mind was the ham and cheese omelet or as we called it, green eggs and ham. And the other was the corn beef hash that can only be described; as not to offend the members of this forum; as a substance that was remarkably similar to a substance that is produced after the human body is done processing food.
Nowadays, the MREs are a lot more palatable and come with heaters. _________________ Live as if to die tomorrow. Learn as if to live forever.
