this is on my 'daily dose' listings ~ each day there is a different work featured from the permanent collection ~ imagine THAT job!

I so enjoy clicking and not knowing what work of art will be there..as a daily present for my spirit...

today's: This dish was probably commissioned by Matthias Corvinus (1440–1490), king of Hungary. Matthias brought Hungary fully into the forefront of European cultural and intellectual life, encouraging advances in science, art, and literature.

Your threads are like little reminders to stop and smell the roses. I absolutely love The Met. My first New York style hot dog was on the steps of The Met. No matter how many times I visit that place or haw many works of art I see, sitting there with Phil soaking in the city is what I will always remember.
