It would be wonderful if a new forum could be added that is specifically devoted to education in food-related fields. The topic might be conceived broadly to accommodate graduate and undergraduate degree-granting programs; professional training in enterprises as diverse as cooking, nutrition and organic farming; and workshops/classes for those who simply love food. Currently there is nothing on egullet of this nature either. The advantage would be participants would be free to exchange information and report experiences on a site unaffiliated with any particular school or sponsor.

Hello Deste,
This is a great suggestion. I probably won't create a new forum for it, because I'm trying to keep the number of forums low, otherwise it's difficult for people to keep an eye on all of them, but this kind of topic would fit right into the "Resources" forum. I've updated the description of that forum to include it. If you have info to share or request about any particular cooking school, you can start a new conversation there!
