wonder of wonder...Brokeback is showing at a little family-run cinema nearby..
glenbrookcinema.com.au
until May 10
thought if you've any Oz pals in or around Sydney/Blue Mountains area...or friends travelling who might now want to see it for the first time...or again...maybe you might let them know..
plus on the GIANT screen at Katoomba..the edge cinema
Thurs 11th May - 6:15pm
Fri 12th May - 8:30pm
Sat 13th May - 8:45pm
Mon 15th May - 6:15pm
Tue 16th May - 8:45pm
Wed 17th May - 8:45pm
you just never know...someone might read this and think..yep..I'll be in Katoomba one of those nights...and the thrill of seeing that story larger than life...
saw it last night ...again, each frame I could sit with for ages....'n Ledger's expression at the end...
for interest..he got Ennis's walk by walking around a motel room ....for days...
gee I seem to have become somewhat of a missionary with all this

Judy Darlin'...thanks for the story!
all sorts of memorabilia are scattered around..more postcards were written...there was one Jack was to have on his dashboard when he arrived to ...well...when he arrived and there was dear old Ennis with his gals...and nope...sorry Jack no can do....
anyway, that postcard didn't make it to the final cut...
oh I could go on ...couldn't I...
unabashed extrovert that I am...at times
am thinking of Annie Proulx's comment that the realtionship didn't work because of THEIR own homophobia... _________________ "I've never accepted the external appearance of things as the whole truth. The world is much more elaborate than the nerves of our eye can tell us." - James Gleeson

Yes, that's what I thought as soon as I had seen the movie, but couldn't work out how to put it into words. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

rather like the idea of ya really can't blame life ...it's one's own attitude...one's own choices...
Alma had the choice...to speak after seeing what she'd seen...however the fear the whatever in her kept her silent...
