I decided to continue with my investigations and hereunder are the findings:
As for today ,there are 8997 posts on C& Z forums,
4274 of them were posted by the top 10 posters mentioned above. The next 4 "big" posters are :
Just me - 183
Lakritz - 120
Chicago bear -112
Dawna -112
If we add them, we'll reach between the 14 of us, 5004 posts ( probably a little bit more since yesterday), which is about 55% of the posts!!!!!
It's impressive, no wonder we got to know each other quite a bit. With how many people do we talk between 900-100 times in two years? Think of it.
Next I intend to reveal the number of those members who joined, but never posted. Maybe that will encourage them to join our company!
No more war, more posters! ( no, not the ones you hang on the wall) |

I would like to appologize, I missed 3 friends who posted more than 100 posts.
So the 7 next top posters are:
11.Just me - 183
12.Brigidsdauther - 162
13. JenJen --150
14. LAkritz -120
15. Swan -113
16. Chicago bear --113
17. Dawna -112
That brings us to 5429 posts out of 8997 , between 17 members, which is about 60% of the posts! Even more impressive! |

David, what's happening? When I joked about saying this marriage would last only six months, I wasn't hoping that would come true. This is probably a good group to offer you sympathy if you need it. _________________ ' She says, 'I am the glamorous type.' I said, 'So what?' |

I am very happy that my little pup brings smiles to the crowd in the forums. I have to admit, I smile when I see a post of mine. And the best part is I get to see the full picture of him hanging onto the bamboo reeds. It's a really cute picture.

Thanks for your concern Sarape. It has been mentioned in another thread or so but Dick suffered a massive, massive stroke in September and almost died. He remains in hospital to this date. Prognosis is not great. I'm now the proud owner of a wheelchair accessible van. But the love between us remains so, in effect, the marriage is just fine! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

Dear David,
Somehow I missed the fact that your love had suffered a stroke.....in Sept. I guess I was so involved in the Katrina mess and I didn't have a computer where I was in NC......so I am so sorry to hear that......I know he's glad you are there to care for him....It can be tough for the caregiver too.....please know you both are in my thoughts. You have somehow managed to keep your spirits up (at least in your posts) Thanks for sticking around! _________________ Make me half the person my dog thinks I am. |

Thanks everyone, C & Z has been a big help and actually is one of the things I use to keep myself "grounded". The insane period has passed and the depression largely lifted, now it is just coming to terms with our "reduced" circumstances! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

David- The day to day realities and challenges must be enormous. But please factor into the "reduction" the fact that there are many "additions" of us pulling for you both. And, please, don't hesitate to let us know what would be helpful. _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

Holy smokes.....how did I make number 11 when I haven't been around for a few months? I'm back with a vengeance & I think today alone I have begun the race to move into the top 10!
I miss DairyQueen, too. Man, she's funny!! And a wealth of information.
David...my heart aches for you! Let me echo the sentiment expressed earlier...if you need anything...I (we) are here for you. May I say that I am so happy that you had your chance to formalize your commitment before this awful event occurred. Dick is very lucky to have someone like you to hold his hand.

David, wow man, didn't realize..... In September I was so involved in my own agnst (katrina) and I remember you were so sympathetic and supportive, all the while you were suffering witth your own personal heartache!! I only wish I could have known to give the care and concern back....I am a firm believer in the "Callahan Creed" (Shared pain is lessened, shared joy is increased")
Any way, as late as it is you have all my support, positive energy, and love...best of everything to you and Dick _________________ I would like a gin martini, straight up, olives on the side, as dry as my wit, as clean as my conscience.

I have to give a nod to the name Pesto Man. As I told David recently, it has a lot of gusto, like some sort of culinary superhero. PESTO MAN!!!
David,
It is amazing how your natural merriment shines through even in these hard times. HUGS! _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

David - what you have both gone through is really...gruelling, touching - my heart really goes out to you. Having gotten married at around the same time as you & Dick, I have to say it makes me think of the last few months in a different light.
As for everyone else - you all put me to shame with my lowly, paltry contribution (sitting around 70 after at least 6 months on the boards). Guess I have to face it - I'm just never going to be poster number one around here. |
