My friend has requested I make her my stuffed jalepenos when I visit. The difficult part is they are not widely available where she lives. Are they available in London produce markets? Can you recommend a place near the Bayswater/ Knightsbridge area? _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

hmm, ask your friend if there's a Tesco's grocery store near her. i know the one here sells "green chilis," either medium or hot. taste and look like a jalepeno, so i'm going to assume it is. they have red chilis and sometimes "sweet" green chilis for stuffing, they look more like a poblano (sp?), not quite sure tho.
otherwise, if she's really dying for them, check out Harrod's. yes, it'd be more expensive, but its more likely that they would have "exotic" produce. besides, you HAVE to check out the food halls. simply amazing. (and you can eat lunch there, or have tea with french macrons, all different flavors, i suggest the pistachio) |
