New Years Eve in Paris?

My boyfriend and I will be spending New Years Eve in Paris (We are Australian, living in Lille). My boyfriends sister will be with us, visiting from Australia and this will be her first time overseas. Any suggestions for a memorable, and safe celebration? We were thinking a restaurant, a view and some fireworks???

Hi all,
Any "must do's"/ "can't miss" things to do in February over a 4 day weekend. My husband ( 1st time to Paris) and I ( second time in 20yrs)
will be there and we don't want to overdue the tourist time. We are staying in the Latin Quarter and want to soak it all in. Any advice/ideas appreciated!
