CDD is a Contrat à Durée Déterminée, meaning a short-term contract -- as opposed to CDI, Contrat à Durée Indéterminée, which implies a more permanent position.

love your blog.read it daily.parisian expat in california.work in food. being a vegetarian,went recently to r'aliment after reading about it from you.cross it out.It was replaced by a mediocre pseudo italian place without any passion for food( interestingly named innamorarti !)
